Dr. Griffin
Dr. Tara Griffin became a dentist because she believed she could change people's lives by helping them look and feel their best. Her philosophy is to treat every patient as if they were a part of her family, with the utmost respect, dignity and kindness. Patients say her soothing chair side manner puts even the most anxious patient at ease.
Dr. Griffin was born in Dothan, Alabama and raised in the small town of Fairhope, Alabama along the gulf coast. As a child she always had a lively adventurous spirit about her. She was very artistic and athletic and made friends with everyone she met. She was raised to believe in herself and others through her Presbyterian faith. She was class president her junior and senior year of high school where she excelled in both athletics and academics. It was there that she developed the courage and enthusiasm it takes to be a leader.
Dr. Griffin attended the University of Alabama for her undergraduate degree. She went on to study dentistry and received a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Griffin-Walling moved to Panama City Beach in 2006 and began a two year transition with Carltons S. Schwartz, DDS. In December 2007 Dr. Griffin purchased Dr. Schwartz's dental practice. With her enthusiasm for extra training, Dr. Griffin is always updating her knowledge by attending continuing education classes to learn the latest dental advancements and technology.
Dr. Griffin is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Northwest District Dental Association, Bay County Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Women's Dental Association, Junior Service League of Panama City and Bay Point Women's Club. She enjoys spending time volunteering for the charities these organizations represent.
Dr. Griffin has a love of animals and nature that includes the beauty of our gulf coast. When not practicing dentistry she enjoys spending time with her two wonderful labradors, Patton and Dixie.
